Cornerstone West operates in the heart of the Little Italy neighborhood on the Westside of Wilmington. We are a proud supporter of events in both our neighborhood and surrounding communities. Annual Events

A Taste of Little Italy


Each March, West End Neighborhood House hosts A Taste of Little Italy to promote the Little Italy community and raise money for their family and youth services. This year, 22 businesses and restaurants offered specials and promotions during March 23, 24 and 25 to celebrate the third annual event. Check back in the fall to mark your calendar for 2011′s A Taste of Little Italy!

Holy Trinity Greek Festival, 9th & Broom

Celebrate the 2010 Holy Trinity Church’s annual Greek Festival on June 1st – 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. to enjoy homemade Greek food and desserts, ethnic music and dance performances by the Award Winning Terpsechorian Dance Troupe. Little Italy Farmer’s Market, 7th and Bancroft Parkway

On Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. May 15 through September 15, enjoy a wide selection of fresh produce and other delights at the Little Italy Farmers Market. St. Anthony’s Italian Festival, 901 N. DuPont Street

Don’t miss this year’s St. Anthony’s Italian Festival, scheduled for June 6 – 13, 2010. This annual and much-anticipated event features homemade Italian cuisine, live music, rides and games and more. The festival also benefits St. Anthony’s of Padua, which hosts the event on the city streets surrounding their church. Wilmington Flower Market, Rockford Park

Visit the Wilmington Flower Market on May 6, 7, and 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. to enjoy live music, food, arts and crafts and to peruse an abundant variety of flowers and plants. This fun-filled family event has been a staple each spring since 1921 when it was originally created as a fundraiser to help local children. Today, the Flower Market benefits a variety of local organizations dedicated to improving the lives of youth. For more information about the Flower Market, visit their website.
